Sarah Ayana Birregah is a second-year student pursuing a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, where she also graduated as a peer counselor. Her research interest is exploring the sense of identity and belonging among multicultural individuals and is keen to understand how these dynamics impact individuals’ wellbeing and relationships. Her experience as a primary school teacher opened her eyes to the influence of family dynamics on children and the importance  of viewing healing from a systemic perspective. She currently serves as the Communication Liaison for the Family Therapy Student Association at USIU-Africa.
