Daisy Jepchirchir Kosgey, MFT
Treasurer
Daisy Jepchirchir Kosgey is the founder of Holistic Relational Therapy, a mental health consultancy that sees individuals, couples and families in clinical settings as well as co-founder of The MFT Collective, a group practice aimed at housing marriage and family therapists in Kenya with the focus of establishing and solidifying the presence and importance of the MFT profession.
Daisy is a marriage and family therapist whose focus is on relational health in families – more specifically in childhood emotional trauma and its impact in adulthood and in couples where therapeutic aim is on establishing healthy relational patterns with emphasis on healing attachment wounds.
She is a Master of Arts graduate of MFT and a level 1 certified Gottman Method Couples Therapy & is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University in Public Mental Health. Some of her short-term aspirations include delving into mental health policy and management with the Kenyan context in mind and getting into teaching. Where possible Chichi participates in sensitizing the public on the power and importance of relational health & therapy through interviews and speaking engagements.
Daisy values personal development and looks at life as an ongoing dialogue with self, others and the world. For fun, she participates in a book club she started that meets monthly to read and discuss African literature as she believes in the power of stories – in its ability to create and change meanings about who we are. On a loose Friday evening you will find her enjoying a glass of malbec somewhere and grooving to 90s RnB until her knees give in.
